Yes, it’s a well used title, just not one I’ve had an opportunity to use for many years. I can safely say that 2008 has been one of the most eventful years of my life.
The year started under a black cloud, I had just entered my 25th year of a very unhappy marriage, while at work, negotiations were underway regarding redundancy packages, as plant closure was announced for Oct 08.
Then a very dear friend and work college was killed on her way to work, her car hit ice and smashed into a tree. She was 35.
My sister finished her chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer and started radiotherapy. (She still has not been given the “All clear” yet)
Then something amazing happened. I had joined a social media site called Twitter in November 07, when a chance comment I made brought me a untold happiness. My happiness is known as Loaf.
October brought the long awaited redundancy, as I packed up my desk at work I also packed my bags at home and moved out. Not so much an ending, but the start of a new life. I am much happier, more relaxed and looking forward to finding out what 2009 has in store. With Loaf by my side I feel I’m in for a fun year.
Here’s to a year where every tomorrow brings something better than yesteday.

WOW, I wish you all the very best for the coming year, someone who has been through all of that and still manages to take a stand to not get bogged down in it and look for a better tomorrow deserves all good things
Sunshine & Happiness to you!
